How long does it take to inflate the Paddle Board?
It takes most people under 7-8 minutes to fully inflate our boards. If you're in shape you can do it in under 5 minutes. Don't forget to remove the black cap on your pump after about 9-11 PSI to make the last 4-5 PSI a little easier!
How do you install the fin?
Slide and push the fin into the groove and lock the fin with the rear latch. Be sure to read the instructions that comes with your paddle board.
How long does it take to inflate and deflate?
Inflation takes most people 5 to 10 minutes. Deflation takes only 2-3 minutes.
Can this board be used in the Ocean?
Absolutely! Our boards are meant for any body of water. If you are new to paddle boarding we suggest you try the board on a calm body of water before venturing out into waves.
Can you ride with a dog?
Many people ride our boards with their dogs. Be careful and watch your balance!.
Does the board come with a leash?
Yes the board comes with a leash. Everything you see in the photos is included!.
Is this board made from drop stitch material?
Yes! All of our boards are made from drop stitch material: drop stitching gives the board it's shape and rigidty.
Does the paddle float?

United StatesI am so in love with my Gili Komodo board. Shortly after buying one and realizing how amazing it is, I bought another so I have an extra board to take friends out also (one blue and one teal). The board is big, sturdy and so comfortable. I am able to sit (or stand) with one of my dogs without any issues. My dogs actually love this board too, a lot of times, they will jump on and then just plop down and fall asleep in the sun as we're paddling thru our local marina. The board comes with so many D rings and plenty of bungee straps so I can take whatever I need with me on the water - and I usually overpack as a result, lol - but the board makes it so easy to! I have been getting so many compliments on these boards, too - loads of people stop me to ask where I ordered these boards from because they love how they look. Also the bag the board comes in is awesome. Fully fits my SUP plus the paddle, plus my kayak conversion kit - it is very roomy and also has lots of pockets for the additional odds and ends. I also have to say that Gili as a company is incredible. I ran into a couple hiccups with my orders but the team at Gili were SO quick in responding and solving any snafus - it was really refreshing, and truly cannot say enough good things about Gili. I also really love that they donate some of their revenue to ocean conservation programs - think that is amazing. Already referred some friends their way because I am so happy with my experience and just love my boards so much. (Sidenote: Highly recommend considering purchasing the carry strap with the Komodo board - this particular board is very manageable but can be a little heavy after a day of paddling - the carrying strap has been a great addition and big help for me personally! Happy paddling!)

This has been a great beginner board for me and my pup to take out; the stability is great, especially when she’s moving around at the front of the board while I’m trying to balance. So far, we’ve done lakes and oceans, and it’s held up great. Easy to deflate, roll up, and put in backpack - which makes traveling with a SUP super reasonable. I could not be happier. The reason I enjoy these boards is how well thought out the design and package is and the excellent construction and performance on the water. Its easy to set up, deflating and storing is simple, best of all I don't have to contend with a roof rack! I spend less time setting up and more time paddling. Truly worth every penny I spent!

United StatesSo happy with my new Komodo 10'6" Inflatable Gili Board!! One of my favorite features is it can convert to a kayak so easily. It is well made, and versatile with handles, bungie's and D rings so you can set up the board the way you like. Light weight so I can get up and down steep hills easily but, quite sturdy. It inflates in no time and the paddle is light and durable made with the best hybrid material. I couldn't me more happy, Thank you Gili!!!
United StatesI'm a newbie to the SUP world, and this board is an upgrade to my previous purchase. It's definitely worth the investment! I chose GILI over various competitors, and am not disappointed. I've gotten several compliments on my board, especially on the built-in paddle holders (I practice SUP Yoga). The backpack is great - plenty of storage to fit the pump and a life jacket inside with the board, and side pockets and straps to hold your paddle, fins, and any extras. The padding is very comfortable. I'm 5'3" under 110lbs, and this board is easy for me to carry to my destination (unless it's super windy, lol). The padded leash is comfortable, and the paddle is a good weight for me. I enjoy the stability and padded comfort of the board, whether standing of kneeling. The tapered nose helps cutting through chop, and I find the fins track well, compared to my other basic board. The bungees provide ample room for toting along all your extras. I didn't think I would be as pleased as I am with my purchase, so I am happy to have no regrets.

United StatesI have loved stand up paddle boarding for some time, but always rented them and usually hard boards, a few times an inflatable. I started researching all types for quite a while and decided to go with Gili. I couldn't be happier with my choice. This board is very stable and rigid, quite similar to the hard boards I rented. It far exceeds the inflatable ones I had used in the past. I live in an apartment, so having an inflatable is perfect. Easy to inflate and transport around. I am excited for so many more adventures to come.
United StatesI love how stable this board is. It has a long deck that allows you to use the whole surface to do a variety of poses. But this board is a great all around board as well it moves easily in the water. It can also handle multiple people. It is a great all-purpose board.
CanadaI love the stability and design of my board. It is very rigid and it glides well in calm waters, and handles waves well. I was used to renting hard boards, and was concerned about moving to an inflatable, but honestly I can't tell the difference as this board is so solid. This is definitely a great buy for me, and I have already enjoyed hours on the water with it and our dog.
CanadaThe positives are that it feels solid underfoot and handles well, its fun to use and accommodates multiple people, the bungee straps and D rings are conveniently placed. Drawbacks include the initial volume of the deflation process is shocking to anyone in the vicinity; it takes experimentation and practice to find a way to pack the board, pump, and paddles all together in one bag; the center handle runs interference with kayak seat placement and yoga.

I ordered two different inflatable SUP's for our family vacation to Lake Tahoe in July: the GILI Komodo and another competitors. The GILI shipped the next day and arrived 3 days ahead of schedule, the competitors did arrive prior to our trip but wish I had purchased 2 Komodo's instead. The travel carrying case/bag is wonderful for airport travel (hides marks, soft shoulder straps and durable material). The pump to inflate is fantastic and made my first ever experience of opening the new SUP on the beach and pumping up a breeze. In fact, when I unrolled the SUP on the beach for the first time 2 guys came over and commented on the quality and design of the Komodo! The comfort, durability and handling on the water is excellent for both calm and choppy waters. My family used the Komodo all week multiple times a day and it held compression without any loss. At the end of the week it deflated and rolled-up easily for placement back in the travel bag. Have since taken it out on our neighborhood lake every weekend and my only regret is that I did not buy 2 GILI Komodo's in the first place!!! Highly recommend this product and the engineering of the GILI Komodo as it is much better than the competition on every front.

After my Gili came in, she decided she wanted to exchange her board for a Gili as well, because she loved the added features the Gili’s had over her board. She chose the teal, and was a little disappointed when the color online didn’t match the actual color of the board itself (in person it’s more of a “Tiffany Blue”), but overall she was happy with the board.

I used my car pump to inflate all of ours the rest of the way and we were on the water in half an hour! Stability was right in between their Meno and our other friend's Air. Awesome
